WoC in November? What is Going On?
Earlier rumors had placed Warriors of Chaos as a November army book release alongside of course a couple waves of models. Now it is apparent that while the year is coming quickly to a close, the time available for releases is getting thin. So the rumors are having it that there will be no Warriors of Chaos army book in November.
Please remember that these are rumors

Listen fellas ..... about the book ....... (runs for cover)
That is a little bit funny in that hastings was the first person to tell me, a couple of months ago, that the release was coming without a book.....I shot him down and said I was pretty sure it was the next book.
75hastings69 in response to what we will be seeing.
In fact I'm thinking that we will now see a WD official update for the new models....
words for the word god
there may be knights on Juggernaughts and marauders on steeds of slaanesh (rather than new marauder infantry)?
Daemons get more plastic beginning of next year.... along with a new book

Really hope this is true!
ReplyDeleteIdk what to say
ReplyDeleteOdd. I guess it wouldn't surprise me if they did a White Dwarf addon for the WOC like they did for Chaos Daemons, bring them up to 8th edition, add some new units in plastic.
ReplyDeleteBut what does surprise me is that GW would do this as their Fantasy release between 40k releases. They haven't released anything Fantasy since Empire..
ANOTHER WFB book? Really? 3 this year? Wow. Hope not.
ReplyDeleteTroll. Get a life and stop posting here so much.
DeleteThat post should probably be removed, everyones input on this site is vital, and if JD wants to put in his opinion you don't need to be rude, besides there is nothing wrong with what he said, it is the 25th anniversary after-all.
DeleteProblem is not that a new book will be the third, but rather that it will make the 40k book (CSM) the only one. So I would prefer to see 2 fantasy and 2 40k. I hope I'm not being unreasonable.
DeleteThat's a good news everyone! I love current book, I hope it will not replaced until 9th edition! Some new units will be awesome though.
ReplyDeleteAnd a daemons codex early next year? Hmm. Their book is not that old. It should be
ReplyDeleteTau:Febuary-April
Daemins: Summer
October Nov: Eldar
Tau? I don't know... the Tau rumors really aren't all that high atm. Well, it's still a bit early to tell but I'd say first december week DA, march somehing else, november (because it seems obvious now that the release IS in november) Eldar (even if I'm not so sure about Eldar yet).
DeleteI can't wait for the tau codex 6th edition has made tau alot better with jink, rapid-fire, cover saves just wait until they get a codex anyway anyone know who will be writing it?
DeleteOther than some new units, which could be a WD update like Daemons and some points reductions for their vehicles do tau need an update that bad? I have about 2500 points for tau and it does really well. Fire warriors are a solid troop choice with their 30" guns. Crisis suits are one of the best elites in the game, and the have arguably the best direct fire anti tank with rail guns having a 72 " range and being s10 ap1
DeleteThey can struggle a bit with flyers if they don't build for it (TL missile pods) but are rumored to be getting a flyer. If they release the next wave of flyers Tau would be good in to 2014
Eldar is the codex that needs the most help. With The rapid fire changes, dire avengers 18" guns don't cut it anymore.
FYI I play Tau, Eldar, CSM, BA, GK, Tyranids, and Dark Angels, so I'm not just spouting words. I have experience with these armies
@ Pickman- Tau rumours may not be high at the moment, but it still could mean a release, take lizardmen for example: They're on the way, before dwarfs *grumble, grumble, pulls out pen and book of grudges* So quite possibly Tau may be on the way, hopefully
Delete@Thorhammer
DeleteWhile I agree that Tau can still kick some ass, yes they do need an update. Too much that needs to be FAQed between when it came out and now. Some new units, cheaper points cost, specific Warlord traits for special characters, hell even a few more heroes to really flesh them out. Plus it's been so long since their codex who knows how many new races they might have introduced to the "greater good".
I was wondering how they would fit WoC, DA and Hobbit all before the end of the year. I guess a WD update solves part of that.
ReplyDeleteWith WoC current book doing fine in 8th a new book isn't really needed right now.
Juggerknights, yes please and very much so ;O
Marauders on Slaaneshi Steeds seems a bit more odd though. They already are fastcav, do they need a faster and lighter option?
Dissapointed that it's NOT a new book, as I like new rules more so than new models, but I am happy with the book also. It has one over the top build, but alot of pter average builds in it...all with increased smashing power with the jugger knights coming!
ReplyDeleteI really think it is time to accept that GW have done a good job on tightening rumour control (whether we like it or not) and that most of the "reliable sources" are now talking out of their nethers.
ReplyDeleteSad but true.
DeleteI don't know about that unless you mean up until very recently. Practically everything in the chaos codex was released in the form of rumors months and months ago.
DeleteThey say don't leave home without your salt but I wouldn't count the hardcore sources out just yet. Just do some research and find out which ones to follow and which to throw the salt at.
Hastings on warseer originally predicited no book, Harry heard differently. So te truth is heard its just there is other plausible rumours going round as well.
ReplyDeleteIf I was GW, I would be releasing bogus rumors to cloud the water.
I don't play WoC, but I always love their kits for conversions - thus just new models is fine with me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the rumor!
I don't play Fantasy anymore, but I always loved WoC. It was my first army. I canabalized the majority of it into CSM and Space Wolves. So...bring on the love, WD or new Army Book, it's all good to me!
